Fun times at Natasha's Bistro last night dancing salsa to the rhythms of "Son Del Caribe". Salsa parties at Natasha's are always a blast. Thank you to all who do the hard work to make it happen.

New Blog, follow here:Salina's Studio leave relevant comments and musings. I love to hear what you think.

I am so glad that the new pages featuring my 14k gold Secretariat pin are up. Thank you so much, Mark! Nothing like burning the midnight oil on a Wednesday night! I had fun joining you in the Salsa class, too.

I am enjoying peace of mind today and gratitude.

The colors of the season, a warm cup of cocoa and a cozy blanket are inspiration. These comforts make me want to create magical things.

Be ready for miracles; they may be lurking around the next corner.

Something about a gloomy day inspires me to be creative. Maybe it's because as a child I was always trying to busy myself by myself. I don't really know where inspiration comes from, I just make stuff.

"Have no fear of perfection, you'll never reach it." Salvadore Dali So why do I busy myself trying to achieve it? I suppose if I reached it, I would be bored with it.

Today is a good day to be grateful for having a warm place to eat and sleep and good friends. I am glad that I have both today. i am also looking forward to going home to North Carolina for the holidays and seeing my family and friends there. Life is so short and I do not get to visit with them nearly as often as I would like. For all who are also traveling this holiday season, please be careful and mindful of others. Try to do one nice thing each day for someone else and not let anyone know about it. If someone finds out about your good deed, it doesn't count and you must find another good deed to do for someone else.

Apropos for the season: "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest." Mark Twain Give it a shot, what the heck?
