Highly motivated and perceptive, Salina combines talent with more than 37 years of experience and professionalism to exceed the expectation of both the private and corporate patron. Living in Lexington, Kentucky she has exhibited her work extensively with works now held in private collections worldwide.
To reach the public Salina regularly showcases her work at appropriate venues upon request. Born in 1963 in San Jose, California and raised in North Carolina, she has been passionate about drawing and painting since childhood. Her portraiture has evolved into a powerful and dynamic expression of her subjects and she is renowned for her ability to capture likeness. Salina is fascinated by the unique spirit of each subject and this shows in her work. These works range from a simple but exquisitely detailed pencil portrait to an evocation of the client's life experience with the use of background symbolism as the setting for the character study.
A client may commission a life study to be painted at Salina's Lexington studio or at a venue of the client's choice as she often travels in her pursuit of artistic expression.
Although working mainly from her Lexington, studio Salina also enjoys working from photographic and sketchbook renderings made on location during her travels. She balances her portrait schedule with studies of the bucolic Kentucky landscape and of magic moments involving the interaction between animals and people linked mystically to the spirit of Nature's creative forces.
Salina is in demand for transforming a client's creative concept into a living reality. Questions? Comments?
