"Millennium Wind"

16 x 20 Oil on Canvas
Price for Original Work $2500

On Bluegrass Stakes day at Keeneland Racecourse, Millennium Wind had his day. Looking at this particular image after the fact, it is easy to see why he ran his race that day last April. The colt most definitely has his game face on. She wanted the painting to show the horse's determination and level of concentration. Special too, is the way the pony girl is looking at the horse, a slight smile turning the corners of her mouth on an impish face. Laffit's weathered expression shows no signs of worry or stress either. Salina started and finished this piece in the two weeks following the Bluegrass Stakes. She has been enjoying it ever since, however it's time to let it go. This is one of her best paintings so far. This painting was purley a labor of love.
